The library held a pumpkin character contest. K-5th grade was invited to participate in this contest. Each individual class collectively decorated a pumpkin like one of their favorite book characters. The week of Halloween we had staff vote on their favorite pumpkin. This morning I counted the votes and Mr. Baer’s class won! They will receive ice cream cups for their prize. Check out the pictures to see who’s class made your favorite book character.

On the behalf of Soulsbyville Elementary, I would like to thank Chris and Jacqueline Powers , for their wonderful book donations to our school library. The Powers our making their donation on behalf of their sister, Tammy Gillette, who is currently battling stage 4 brain cancer. Tammy is an avid reader. Thank you Powers family!

Engaging Girls in STEM

A staff member asked me the other day if our school library takes book donations. Absolutely! We accept gently used children’s , teen and YA ( young adult) books. Please sign into the main office before coming up to the library to drop off. We would love and appreciate your donations. It keeps a great selection of literature and media circulating through our library for our students to expand their reading.
